I’ve always loved this series. It’s comical yet fun and exquisite and light too but somehow addictive. I’ve watched it from the inaugurate and regain it tranquil beneficial to this day, but different with the cast changes.

In this season, we spy Tom Selleck join the team as the modern owner of the Montecito, AJ Cooper. Danny and Dalinda come by out that they’re having a baby, and he becomes the President of the Montecito. Piper and Mike wake up one morning finding themselves married (which they support secret) and when the wedding is out in the initiate, Mike puts together another wedding for the sake of his mother which prompts Danny to properly propose to Dalinda.

It certainly isn’t the best season in it’s five year urge, but it’s collected proper if you are a accurate fan of the explain. I really adore episode 12 called I Could Eat A Horse where Danny and Mike are sent to Wyoming to retract a horse for Coopers ranch and also It’s Not Easy Being Green where Dalinda is obsessed with becoming environmentally righteous.

If you’ve also watched Las Vegas from the very beginning, you’ll probably tranquil like this but may win this isn’t it’s finest work. There are level-headed plenty of laughs and of course there’s Mike and Danny who provide a lot of peer candy for us girls. I peaceful delight in it and hope that all Las Vegas fans will as well.

I really struggled with this season. It certainly was not the same without James Caan (Ed Deline) . Indeed, even without Nikki Cox (Mary Connell) and Cheryl Ladd (Jillian Deline) accomplish the exhibit different. But these changes, and the addition of Tom Selleck (AJ Cooper) and Camille Guaty (Piper Nielsen) lend an aura of reality to the expose, because people do disappear on.

As the season comes to its abrupt slay, and Jillian returns for what ultimately turns out to be the last episode, it really is a reminder of what a big exhibit this was, and how we saw the main cast make and grow up over the last five years. The most upsetting fragment though is in the extinguish when the cover goes gloomy and say “To Be Continued”, only you know that will never happen because NBC did not respect its fans enough to even let them enact that last episode. Despite this ending that will form you dusky, and wrathful at NBC, you gain to study encourage on the series and realize that this went from some taudry drama when it began and grew into a really special television series.

What follows is a tense thriller as step by step, Danny gets closer to the truth unhurried the very people he has known and worked with for over ten years, building up to a rather predictable and yet intensely climactic ending.

The performances by Samuel Jackson and Kevin Spacey are as estimable as it gets, backed by terrific supporting roles from David Morse, J.T. Walsh, Siobhan Fallon, Paul Giamatti, and Michael Cudlitz.

The Negotiator stands out amongst other movies of it’s genre because of it’s tight scripting, advantageous editing and photography, and the positive fact that the actors alive to were working as a finish team. This is a ample thriller, tense from beginning to raze, and a obvious addition to your DVD collection.

I like the fact that it is definitely delicious even after the second and third viewing, incandescent who is who the second time around and watching the interaction from the “I know who’s guilty” angle, and appreciating the performances all over again. Devour!

MOSQUITO SQUADRON is quite British and a very consuming World War II action adventure story that focuses both on anecdote and military air bombing strategies of the era. Starring David McCallum as Quint Munroe a Canadian-born RAF pilot he leads an exellent cast that includes Charles Gray as Air Commodore Hufford, Vladek Sheybal as Lieutenant Schack and Robert Urquhart as Major Kemble. Directed by Boris Sagal this film features intelligent cinematography by Paul Beeson (RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK), an outstanding accept detached by Frank Cordell (KHARTOUM) and effective special effects Les Bowie (X THE UNKNOWN) . David McCallum is a quick-witted and titillating actor who gives unusual meaning to underplaying a role and mild being the focal point of the viewer. This is a itsy-bitsy overlooked gem of a film. I highly recommend it.

Mosquito Squadron is a top-notch rip-roaring adventure of a war movie to leer on a rainy summer day. Darrin has a terrible chilly and Dr. Bombay treats him with some pills. Of course, these pills have a horrendous side effect- it makes his stutter higher!

Bewitched, tranquil one of the best shows in televesion history as withstood the test of time in fleshy force without any doubts. Arrangement before it’s time, Bewitched collected manages to do me smile with every single episode. Season 3 is no exception. We luckily derive to explore the laughable antics of “Marion Lorne” Aunt Clara one last time as she sadly dies of heart attack shortly after season 3 was finished. Marion Lorne is surely everyone’s current Aunt, I quiet laugh everytime she comes down that chimney.

Sadly, “Alice Pearce” is nowhere to be found. She was, without a doubt, the best Mrs. Kravitz. She died shortly after Season 2 with cancer. Sandra Gould, her replacement does a advantageous job, but her antics, spunk and acting abilities are not up to bustle with Alice Pearce and it shows in Season 3. Thankfully, everyone is relieve and and going chubby force. Mr. Kravitz (George Tobias) is calm the ultimate neighbor who aloof thinks his wife is on drugs for the things she sees across the street. His lines are are hilarious as they were succor in the days.

Endora “Agnes Moorehead” and Darrin “Dick York” go at it plump force in season 3 and are funnier than ever together. Talk about battling it out bulky force. Endora peaceful refers to Darrin as being “Dumbo, Dagwood, Dumpy, Darwin and Dopey” and brings a laugh to me everytime when she never remembers her name. The storylines are composed current and not one of them is recycled from past seasons. This might be one of my current seasons, I’ll have to wait for Season 4 until I can be obvious.

Tabithia plays a exquisite crucial role this season as she is coming to her gain as becoming a rotund fledged toddler with witchly powers of her believe. She’s as adorable as she was in the 60’s and you can’t benefit to smile everytime she is on-screen. Impartial a lickety-split factoid, Diane Murphy and Erin Murphy both played the role as Tabitha to give each other breaks from shoots. Can you inform them apart??

Bernard Fox is also introduced this year as Dr. Bombay and is is a glorious addition to the Bewitched family. A slight tidbit, Bernard Fox also played a role in James Cameron’s blockbuster hit movie Huge. He was Col. Archibald Gracie who always wanted to go into the smoking room for a brandy with the rich boys.

David White, level-headed playing the ultimate role as Darrin’s boss peaceful hasn’t clear what’s outrageous with the Stevens and has yet to learn that Samantha is a plump fledged cauldron stirring witch!

Dick York, aloof the best Darrin of them all, is going strong during all 33 episodes of season 3. Unbeknownst to many, Dick York suffered a severe abet injury earlier in his life and struggled in wound during every shoot of Bewitched. You’ll stare during some of the episodes, you’ll rep him lying down on a couch while doing some of the shoots — it was then the harm was contained. As each season progressed, the hurt objective worsened and eventually ended his carreer all together. During the middle of Season 6, his carreer as Darrin came to an abrupt demolish. “Bill Asher comes to the hospital to explore York and says, ‘What do you want to do, Dick? Do you want to end? ‘ I said, ‘If it’s all suitable with you, Billy.’ And Bill Asher and I hugged for the first time.”

Amazingly, through every episode of Bewitched, you would never leer the severe afflict he went through making us all laugh. It’s a trace of his spirit and esteem for acting and he simply wanted to obtain people laugh and remember what he does best. Rest in peace Dick, we’ll always remember you.

Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner was a ground breaking film upon its release in 1967. The myth revolves around a liberal San Francisco couple whose twenty-three year dilapidated daughter comes home from a rush to Hawaii and surprises them by announcing she’s engaged to an older man who also happens to be dark. The couple, Matt & Christina Drayton, is played by cover legends Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn. Sidney Poitier, Dr. John Prentice, is the fiancé and Katharine Houghton, Joey Drayton, (who is Ms. Hepburn’s niece) is their daughter. Matt & Christina are obviously shaken by the news and concerned about the dwelling. It is not because they are prejudice against minorities as their daughter is marrying a sad man, but it is against the struggles she will face in such a relationship. Also, the doctor has effect it to them that if they do not approve and give their blessings, he will call the marriage off. They have less than twenty-four hours to earn their decision and they struggle with it, especially Matt. He is a crusading newspaper publisher who has championed liberal causes all his life, but faced with this set, his beliefs are shaken to their core. Throughout the day they earn council from their best friend, Monsignor Ryan (a pleasant Cecil Kellaway, who provides them with guidance and a stammer of reason. Joey invites John’s parents (Roy Glenn & Beah Richards) up from Los Angeles to dinner. Upon finding out Joey is white his parents suppose their displeasure with the dwelling as well. When the two sets of parents obtain together, the mothers agree that they will help their children because they treasure them, but the fathers occupy an opposing understanding. Mr. Poitier gives a grand and forceful retribution to his father about the place of unlit men in the unique day and it shows why he is such a colorful actor. In the waste, Matt gives an impassioned speech to John & Joey about the struggles they will face and the unkindness that will be heaped on them, but that if they truly like each they will survive. Director Stanley Kramer does a quick-witted job of making the film poignant yet not sappy. The cast are all bright and Ms. Hepburn would slay up taking home her second Best Actress Oscar (after a thirty-four span from her first for Morning Glory in 1933) and the film won a second Oscar for William Rose for his screenplay. The film is definitely dated as interracial marriages are not as frightful as they were at the time and interracial couples have been the basis of countless films since then. The film is aloof mighty, because prejudices level-headed exist in this country and the dilemma one has when they have their beliefs tested is all too accurate. Mr. Tracy was gravelly ill at the time and it turned out that this would be his final film. He died two weeks after its completion, but he was posthumous given his final Academy Award Best Actor nomination and he delivered a noteworthy and lasting reminder of why he was one of the greatest actors in film history.

1967’s Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner probably raised more than a few eyebrows at the time of it’s release. Sadly though, if you can not attach yourself in the mindset of that time, the potential emotional impact of the film will be lost on you.

Set in the San Fransisco of the leisurely 1960’s, Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner tells the record of Joanna Drayton (Katharine Houghton) bringing her boyfriend of a mere 10 days, Dr. John Wade Prentice (Sidney Poitier), home to meet her parents. What the parents (played by Spencer Tracy and Katherine Hepburn) don’t know is A) she is coming home, B) that she has a boyfriend she is planning to marry C) that said boyfriend is African-American and that D) said boyfriend is 14 years older than she.

Dr. Prentice informs Joey’s parents of his intentions to marry their daughter, but also informs them he will not marry Joanna without their permission. To further complicate matters though, they only have this one day to resolve if they approve as he is due to leave for Geneva Switzerland for a job. What ensues is a family’s hopes and dreams for their daughter being analyzed and re-thought in the span of a mere few hours. Trying to settle if their daughter’s happiness should outweigh the inevitable hardships she will face in a relationship such as this.

The film spares no time in setting up honest how delighted the original couple are, and also does not kill time in letting you know the difficulties an interracial couple will face at this time in American history. Sadly though, it goes cross in several other areas that are disturbing. The cookie-cutter characters in this film abound. The Irish Catholic Monsignor, the wise-to-the-world African American housekeeper and the busy-body friend of the Mother who has to be save in her region. If you can gaze pass these mature out, two-dimensional characters though, there is a poignant fable of how like truly should conquer all.

Going encourage and watching a film that deals with accelerate relations from a different time period can, however, be enlightening. Not once do you hear the term “African American”. You do hear the “N” word once, but it is passe by the housekeeper towards Dr. Prentice. It is serene frightful to hear it blurted out all of a sudden, but again, you have to remember the time frame the film was made in.

This is a difficult review to write though. This movie is flawed, but do you rate it based on its certain film making flaws, or the merits of a sage that needed to be told? I mediate in the kill you have to go with the sage. The memoir is basic, simple and timeless, don’t assume a book by it’s hide, and don’t care what the rest of the world thinks. For that, and its state in cinematic history, it deserves 4 stars.

Sadly, the DVD though only gets 2 stars. It does feature a stunning transfer of the film, and does offer both widescreen and paunchy shroud versions. However, the lone extra is the unique theatrical trailer. Certainly there must have been something they could have included in the manufacture of a commentary track for one of AFI’s Top 100 Films Of The 20th Century. A shaded, itsy-bitsy trailer is all it gets? Pathetic.

On a side effect, this is also a dim movie to eye as you know Spencer Tracy passed away only 17 days after filming completed. You can also leer the early signs of Katherine Hepburn beginning to expose signs of trembling that would later be so well known. It was a comely film for both remarkable actors.

“Snappily Times at Ridgemont High” Is a strong contender for the best teen movie from the eighties.

The case for the movie is easy to make: It is written by Cameron Crowe, who wrote Jerry Maguire, Say Anything, and Almost Distinguished. It is beautifully filmed and directed. (Director is Amy Heckerling, who apart from being awefully cute has made such astounding movies as Clueless.) It is droll and steady. And it has a exquisite cast of young actors who where unknowns then.

The surfer/stoner is famously played by Sean Penn in one of his first roles, and he is awesome. Jennifer Jason Leigh is perfect as the young innocent fifteen-year-old. (Amazingly she was about 20 when she played it, but you’d never know it.)

And Phoebe Cates… As Amy Heckerling says in a featurette: The boys impartial loves Phoebe… the rental cassettes always track a lot around the residence where she takes off her top, they’ve been freeze-framed so powerful…” Which is as wonderful a reason as any to gain the DVD version, they slow-mo and freeze-frame a lot better… But seriously, Phoebe is a incredible actress who has been woefully underused by Hollywood. And she is also objective stunningly cute to boot. Even if this film had nothing else going for it, acquire it for her. (She is also expedient in the later film Princess Caraboo, and she is buck nude in the light “Paradise”, which I hope they will set on DVD soon.)

Eolake

One of the classic high school movies, Swiftly Times spawned a slew of teenage talent on the tall cloak, but no one was more memorable in this movie than Sean Penn as Spicoli. Amy Heckerling cuts out a chop of Southern Californian life from a San Bernardino high school that shows both honor students and misfits alike. While the signature moments belonged to Spicoli, there were many other stout scenes such as the ongoing burger war in which Mediate Reinhold finds himself on the short waste of the spatula. Meanwhile his limited sis, a seemingly innocent Jennifer Jason Leigh, experiments with dating and sex with an humorous pair of misfits, Brian Backer and Robert Romanus. Phoebe Cates tries to status her young prodigy straight but to no avail. Forest Whitaker even has a distinguished moment in this movie as the bruising defensive lineman who takes out the destruction of his prized car on the opposing team. Slight did he know that Spicoli had a hand in it. But, it is the hilarious relationship between Spicoli and Mr. Hand (Ray Walston) that steals the note. Hasty Times may appear a bit dated, but it hasn’t lost any of its humor.

Rome, HBO’s ambitious, and expensive, series revolving around the events leading up to the assassination of Julius Caesar (Ciaran Hinds), is a view to gawk. Created and filmed by a plethora of talented individuals (including legendary film maverick John Milius), Rome is brought to life with a improbable status build that must be seen to be believed; it’s as if the city is breathing. The epic follows two of Caesar’s soldiers (Ray Stevenson and Trainspotting’s Kevin McKidd) who win themselves throughout many events in Roman history, beginning with inadvertantly rescuing Octavian (Max Pirkis), being lost at sea, assisting Cleopatra (in more than one scheme, this episode will leave you laughing) and Caesar’s struggle with Pompey Magnus (Kenneth Cranham) . Despite some historical inaccuracies, Rome is everything you’d reach to request from an HBO series: rich characterizations, an enthralling sage, and a superbly assembled, mountainous cast (including James Purefoy as Marc Antony, Kerry Condon, and Polly Walker as the scheming Atia), Rome is compulsively addictive viewing, made even more so by the climax and of the season finale, which will have you begging for more.

Many people here have talked about the quality of this series, which opinions I agree with. The present is sumptuous not only in its depiction of first-rate Rome, but also that of celebrated Rome, the people whose lives and work made the Republic possible. The characters are well-drawn and excellently acted, and the production is capable, especially considering it as a TV production, which usually arrive off as less polished to me.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Rome: The Complete First Season! Click Here

The theme I would like to talk about is the depiction of religion in Roman life. It is rare to scrutinize a pagan culture portrayed as well as this one is, and in as detailed a manner. Not that the religious aspects of the culture are harped on; they’re not. But the gods are ever-present in unbiased the map that gods are in any culture that is centered on its religious beliefs and practices. There are paintings, murals, mosaics and figures; shrines and priests and rituals; blessings exchanged between spouses and curses thrown between enemies; all of them with the ring of historical authenticity.

And it’s not fair the fact of their presence that impressed me, but also the attitude shown towards this portion of Roman life by the filmmakers, one of complete, factually based acceptance. Unlike so many films, these people are not in the slightest design looked down on or demonized for believing as they do. There is no tinge of “bad deluded fools” or “godless heathens” here. On the contrary, everything about their religious life is taken unbiased as seriously as one could hope for. (Or at least, as seriously as the characters themselves assume it, which of course varies depending on whom one is watching, fair as it would if the film were about new people in a novel world.)

Buy,Download, Or Stream Rome: The Complete First Season! Click Here

This theme becomes apparent from the very first moments, during the magnificently clever credit sequence. The gods and beliefs of Rome are literally brought to life in shots of the streets, walls, pillars, and passageways of the city, where the ever-present chalk and paint grafitti (yes, the name really IS that outmoded) originate to dance to the haunting, sensual Mediterranean musical theme. (I certainly hope to peep a soundtrack album soon!) It’s an absorbing, slightly unnerving short film in and of itself, a minute meditation on how the stories we beget in are constantly around, slow, above and beneath us, keen and supporting our daily lives. The snake painting slithering on the walls, the chalk lion roaring in the shadows, the snappy sketched Birth of Athena with its attendant bloody demonstrate, the expeditiously slashed outline of Priapus (Romans were very centered on the primacy of the phallus, a fact which is not ignored in this point to), Medusa’s serpent hair writhing and hissing from a mosaic – all of these charming and disquieting images flash past us and attach a world fleshy of depth and mystery. And that’s unbiased the first manifestation of this theme in the series.

There are serious, weighty scenes of solemn ritual, private moments of prayer from individuals to their personal gods, the occasional philosophical exchange about the whims and possible intentions of the gods, and other such touches to the scripts, which seat the people and the culture squarely within the framework of a religious worldview, and that’s something that I rarely salvage in films about bygone eras. Usually, if a culture isn’t Christian, its religious realities are either ignored, glossed over, trivialized, or exaggerated in some grotesque, ignorant contrivance to prop up the prejudices of our believe day, that wish to own our dominant religions are the only possible ones for “civilized” people. It’s exceedingly rare to behold this one handled in such a matter-of-fact design.

As an instance, I was especially tickled by the moment when Vorenus is bidding his wife goodbye before marching off to battle. They embrace, and Niobe murmurs, “Bellona protect you.” To which Vorenus answers, “And Juno maintain you.” Bellona was the Roman goddess of war and bloodshed, and Juno was the matron goddess of wives and marriage. To hear those two names broken-down in such a natural and tender scene, and extinct CORRECTLY, was quite touching and very satisfying. (The only other time I can remember a scene of pagan religion so well handled was in another film about Rome – Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator”, where the cramped scene of Russell Crowe’s character praying in private to his household gods was played so naturally and so reverently that it literally brought tears to my eyes.) There are several moments like this limited exchange between husband and wife, and other ways in which we learn how famous religion was to Rome and its people, such as Caesar’s sponsoring of Octavian to the College of Pontiffs.

Now, I don’t want to give the impression that this is a major share of the note. The whole point to its effectiveness is that the religious themes are in the background, only sometimes at a level where they actually influence events. But in another contrivance, they’re influencing events constantly. Fair like today, religion was woven throughout both politics and daily life in Rome, and this series helps us understand how and why. And again, the filmmaker’s non-judgmental attitudes about the presence of such things really helps to give the film credibility in its portrayal of Roman life as a living, breathing reality, rather than some white marble stereotype, both sterile and primitive. And for that they are to be commended, which I do most heartily.

Oh, and in reponse to the criticism below of the portrayal of Cleopatra and her court: the portrayal here is, in fact, quite just. Lots of people manufacture the mistake of equating Cleopatra with Nefertiti, but the Ptolemies were not native Egyptians. They were of Greek stock, and took over the throne of Egypt rather than inheriting it. Cleopatra did NOT live in Pharaonic times; her family reigned centuries after the last of the Pharoahs had died. Historical accounts of the period picture her as a pale-skinned, red-haired woman with freckles, and there are images of her extant from the period, in which we can recognize she was no relation at all to the shadowy, long-necked beauties of the Pharoahs’ courts. It’s lawful that the Ptolemies did try to revive the old-fashioned Pharaonic styles, mostly in order to get the people pick up them better (and, to be distinct, partly because it was all very chilly and made them feel noteworthy and godlike), but it was an attempt to bring serve a time and culture that was gone, rather than a hereditary continuation of it.

I almost missed seeing this incredible exiguous film on the broad screen; I caught the last showing of the last day in our local art-house theater. I can’t possess I almost robbed myself of the pleasure of seeing “Bend it Like Beckham”, quite honestly my current movie to approach out this year so far. It has action, romance, comedy, drama, lots of color and music and in the demolish a astronomical message about acceptance and following your dreams. What more could you want?

Parminder Nagra stars as Jess, a Londoner of Indian descent who has loved playing soccer (or football, to the rest of the world) all her life. She lives and breathes her sport, so noteworthy so that every night she tells all her hopes and dreams to a giant poster of British soccer phenom David Beckham that hangs above her bead. Her parents, though, are less than approving, and when Jess uncovers a female soccer team that is willing to let her play in “dependable matches” she must weigh fulfilling her dreams against tearing her family apart. There is also the matter of her elegant Irish coach (Jonathan Rhys-Myers) and her fresh best friend (Keira Knightly) ; two girls and one cute guy can sometimes cause problems.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Bend It Like Beckham! Click Here

The script is more deeply layered than you might expect; I especially liked the interaction between Jess and her parents. Jess’ mom is worried by her daughter’s passion because she feels nice Indian girls should be thinking of marriage and not “running around half naked in front of men”, but her father for a subtler reason; he level-headed remembers when he came to England and was not allowed to play cricket because of his accelerate. He cannot enjoy the concept of sport breaking Jess’ heart too.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Bend It Like Beckham! Click Here

The supporting cast is uniformly great; with standouts being Juliet Stevenson as the mother of Jess’ unusual friend (“There is a reason Sporty Spice is the only one without a boyfriend!”) and Jonathan Rhys-Myers as the coach. Rhys-Myers, in fact, spends what conceal time he has looking incredibly sexy and practically courageous the audience to call him on his Irish accent. Everyone else plays their roles to perfection and a marvelous time is had by all, including the audience. Highly recommended!

GRADE: A-

What bright film! I absolutely adored it! Anyone who dismisses this film as a “soccer flick” definitely needs to give it a second watch. Despite it’s soccer-themed title, “Bend It Like Beckham” is a wonderful and heart-warming memoir about family, traditions, friendship, cherish, fulfilling your dreams, and – yes – soccer (or football to non-US audiences) .

In the center of the epic is Jessminder Bhamra (Parminder Nagra), a young Indian girl living in England who desperately wants to be a football (soccer) player. On the one hand, she is incredibly talented, but on the other, she has very old-fashioned parents who fill that Jess should (a) go to university, (b) become a solicitor, and (c) marry a nice Indian boy. But Jess has dreams of her possess and when she is approached by Jules Paxton (Keira Knightley) while playing soccer with the boys at a local park, she secretly joins Jules’ local all-girls “football” team. Jules and Jess become stop friends but conflicts arise when both girls topple for the same boy – their coach Joe (the pretty Jonathan Rhys-Meyers) .

Buy,Download, Or Stream Bend It Like Beckham! Click Here

There are many, many highlights to this film. First of all, it is incredibly animated and comic. There are definitely parallels to “My Immense Corpulent Greek Wedding” as Jess’ family life is thrown into chaos as they belief for her sister Pinky’s “tall rotund Indian wedding” (complete with quirky, radiant relatives and friends) . Secondly, it has a very talented cast led by newcomer Parminder Nagra (who is astonishing and earnest as the young woman in conflict between her dreams and her family traditions), the glowing Keira Knightley (who will soon become a household name once “The Pirates of the Caribbean” opens this summer), magnificent heartthrob Jonathan Rhys-Meyers (rumored to be in the running to be the next James Bond), the hilarious Juliet Stevenson (as Jules’ prissy mom who is appalled that her daughter would rather play sports than go shopping with her) and Shaheen Khan (as Jess’ no-nonsense mom who is equally appalled that her daughter would rather play sports than learn the finer art of Indian cooking) . Thirdly, the production values, script and acting are agreeable, bringing to mind similarly quirky, appetizing coming-of-age and feel-good films like “Muriel’s Wedding” and “Princess Diaries.”

I honestly cannot secure fault with this film. I came into the theater without any pre-conceived expectations and came out loving it and wanting to scrutinize it again! This movie is definitely on my DVD must-have list. I can’t wait to have it so that I can notice it again and again. Anglophiles, soccer fans and anyone who enjoys reliable romantic comedies must glance this movie. It is a film that crosses cultural boundaries and will originate you smile and laugh from beginning to kill. What a gem!

I worship these cannonball movies. They definite don’t compose them like this anymore. Stunt man turned director Hal Needham (Smokey & The Bandit) has done objective as an unbelievable job of casting this movie as he did with the first. Returning from the first CB movie is Burt Reynolds as J.J McClure and Dom DeLuise as Victor with the alter ego of Captain Chaos. Impartial by reading who is cast in this movie is extraordinary…

The movie is substantial, unprejudiced as mammoth as the first one. Some people will dismiss it because they don’t like to survey a huge cast of actors having fun. Or they’re too focused on their favourite actor who is not the star of this film. For me, it’s a classic, one of the best sequels ever made and a 4 star movie in my book.

However, where there is splendid praise at first comes the dreadful news. Unlike the first DVD for Cannonball speed, this one has been totally ignored by Warner. There is nothing about this DVD that makes it stand out or compose it worth replacing that worn VHS copy. The quality is not really good; it has speckles in many places, noticeable ones. The sound is a bit shoddy now and then. There is no bonus features, no nothing: Unprejudiced the movie. Not even subtitles where included. There is nothing at all but a menu with a report of the image on the camouflage, and 2 options to play the movie or steal a scene: Not even a trailer.

I care for this movie, so I had to score it no matter what it had included with it. But for those of you who like a righteous reason to catch a DVD `cause of some nice bonus goodies, then this one will leave you sore. They could have at least got Hal to do a commentary track like the first one. And the deleted scene Hal talks about on the 1st movies commentary of Burt and Shirley’s heart warming special scene they wanted to do.

If you like the movie, you might be a bit disappointed in the shoddy VHS looking image quality, lack of bonus features, And in beefy veil only. Serene, it’s at a valid enough brand for it to not matter.

All comments about the film aside, whether you like it or disapprove it, I have to say this is the worst DVD I ever bought. No extras. The print of the movie is abominable, grainy. And it’s not even in widescreen. It’s an certain video transfer. Very disappointing.

On the other hand the movie is dire. But this is a reliable thing. Canonball Hurry 2, along with its predecessor has kitch value. I mean Daisy from the Dukes of Hazard in a spandex jumpsuit?! That’s worth the imprint of admission alone.
