Soooo fellow geek classic monster collectors, remark me, does this sound familiar? You are perusing various sites and store DVD racks and you stumble across these 75th Anniversary editions of DRACULA and FRANKENSTEIN and your geek heart starts palpitating at the understanding of digitally restored version of these films and you derive all angry and you initiate deciding which laughable books you’ll give up this month to seize these instead…….but then you remember you’ve bought the last TWO previously released DVD versions of these films and now you wonder if these are worth it? OK….well…maybe this is kind of an exaggeration, but you know what I mean. I bowed to temptation because, well….Universal has me with their monster releases from map abet….period.

Soooo…..as it is obligatory when one has bought three releases of the same d@mn film, I sat down with them all and ran them through to choose which was the best of them. It is without interrogate IMO, that the DRACULA 75th DVD is the best transfer when compared to the 90’s (poster art), and the first LEGACY (green box art) releases. Picture-wise, the amount of speckles, noise and whatnot has been carve quite a bit. This is most apparent in the darker scenes. So on a marvelous tag, seeing less snowy junk pop up is nice. Some of the scenes also study less jittery. For example, in the previous releases, the scene when Frye first comes into Drac’s home and Lugosi is descending the staircase late him, the film image is really paralyzed…like watching a unpleasant bootleg. In this 75th release it looks stable and doesn’t have that funky aliasing glance. The overall represent quality fair feels cleaner in this release. But there is smooth a advantageous amount of junk throughout the film that this cannot possibly be considered the definitive restoration. Only some making the leap from VHS to DVD will acquire their socks knocked of with this release. If you bought the other two, then you might be satisfied, but probably underwhelmed despite the profitable points. Like the FRANKENSTEIN release, this serene feels like a money making thing than an anniversary homage to this film especially after the promise of something unique from a third dip. Some people may say that we can’t ask powerful because the film is so ragged. But sorry, after THREE RELEASES, and most especially since this one is clearly the supposed icing-on-the-cake release so far, well, I mediate Universal could have done even better than this, Worthy BETTER. Technology as it stands nowadays is very forgiving when cleaning up used films…..but companies need to be willing to keep the money into using said technololgy. I would mediate that even if the buying public of an older film such as this is dinky and Universal wasn’t going to pour a ton of cash into it, well, being the third time releasing the same d@mn movie, would it be deplorable to seize they’d have enough saved in the piggy bank to do a definitve restoration instead of this continued fleecing, but hey, guess that’s business. I believe if they DID do mighty better and THEY knew it, we would have gotten Unique SPECIAL FEATURES and none of the stuff that was already on the other two releases achieve for the one Lugos bit that is fresh here.

Sound-wise, I have to agree with other reviews that I have read that mention that the 90’s release had better sound. It did seem a bit crisper. But like the FRANKENSTEIN releases, picking the better sound with DRACULA is like picking the lesser o two evils…….do you want Niagra Falls somewhere in the background or do you want gentle rapids? To me, all of the background hissing and popping and rustling sounds funky on all of the releases, but they eventually honest become section of the film. I don’t really have considerable of a preference as none have ever been so smart that I could construct myself care THAT worthy.

VALUE: Hmmmmmm……..if you have the money, this is the best DRACULA to gain in terms of record and such. But one has to ask themselves how remarkable they care about this film to fork over the cash for objective one film. If you are only marginally fervent in this DRACULA, but composed want a copy, I’d go for the LEGACY area as that comes with other films and is the better value overall. This release is truly for the purists and gluttons for finacial punishment such as myself. Even though I have now three copies of this film, I have aloof only managed to eye it less than ten times since the first 90’s release since, even though a classic, I collect DRACULA mostly a monotonous affair when watched repeatedly so I hafta hold it in like wine….wearisome…and over time. So my point is, one has to ask themselves, how distinguished do you care to descend the cash for yet another copy of this if you already have it?

PACKAGING: For the most allotment, identical to the green LEGACY sets. That is, the faux hardback book case that opens up to drawl two DVD’s. Only here, there is NO start window slipcover to protect the case. This seems kinda cheap since the case is a frigid, leather-ish ‘grained’ camouflage printed in matte sepia, which is nice. But it will succumb to scuffs and such great faster than the better protected LEGACY area.

OVERALL: Like the FRANKENSTEIN 75th….this is frigid if you got the money to upgrade. But for what it’s touted as, this level-headed is gets 50/50 from me. Objective preserve in mind that the ‘definitve’ HD/BLUE RAY versions will advance at some point ……..or at least the first versions of -those- definitve versions…so we ain’t outta the woods yet.

This DVD is the “Jewel in the Crown” of the classic Universal awe films released in that format. It includes a quality print of the Bella Lugosi DRACULA, with options to play the film with Philip Glass’ new soundtrack; the so-called “Spanish” DRACULA starring Carlos Villarias; and a curious documentary hosted by Carla Laemmle, who has a bit role in the Lugosi DRACULA and who was niece to Universal studio head Carl Laemmle. There is also an audio track by David J. Skal, production notes, and the like.

The Lugosi DRACULA is somewhat problematic. DRACULA had been previously (and illegally) filmed as the calm NOSFERATU, and a later stage adaptation proved a staple of the British theatre. When the stage play at last arrived in Novel York, the title role fell to Bela Lugosi. Although Universal optioned the material, studio head Carl Laemmle was not keen about it; although European films were comfortable with the supernatural, American films were not, and Laemmle did not gain the public would net such an irrational anecdote. Nor was Laemmle eager in Lugosi; if DRACULA was to be filmed, it would be filmed with Lon Chaney.

When Chaney died the veil role went to Lugosi by default, but there were further issues. Originally planned as a big-budget production, the deeping Titanic Depression made the film’s box office possibilities seem even slighter than before and its budget was crop to the bone. And Todd Browning, who had been such a successful director of the macabre in the soundless era, proved clumsy with sound. The resulting film was more than a dinky clunky–but it had two things going for it: a kindly first thirty minutes and Lugosi. Although Lugosi’s performance may seem excessively mannered by today’s standards, audiences of the 1930s found it terrifying–and even today, when the character of Dracula comes to mind, we are more likely to deem of Lugosi than other actor that later played the role.

For a brief time after the advent of sound, several studios made foreign language versions of their productions. The “Spanish” DRACULA was one such film, and when the English language company wrapped for the day the Spanish speaking cast arrived and filmed through the night using the same sets. This gave the Spanish company the help of hindsight: they were perfectly aware of what the English language company was doing, and they deliberately dwelling out to best it. The result is a somewhat longer, more cohesive film with some of the most bright visuals and camera work of the early sound era. But unfortunately, star Carlos Villarias was no Bella Lugosi: although mighty of his performance was more subtle than Lugosi’s, it was also less intimidating, and where today Lugosi seems mannered, Villarias seems unfortunately silly. In a perfect world, we would be able to insert the Lugosi performance into the “Spanish” Dracula. As it is, we are left with two deeply flawed but nonetheless challenging films.

In their contain ways, both films proved incredibly influential, and it is difficult to imagine the evolution of the classic-style fear film without reference to both the Lugosi and the “Spanish” DRACULA. The Lugosi film is not perfectly restored, but the print is very, very valid, easily the best I have seen. The “Spanish” DRACULA has more problematic elements, partly due the fact that the film borrowed some scenic footage from the Lugosi version and snips of footage from earlier films (there even appears to be a brief clip of the ballet from the soundless PHANTOM OF THE OPERA in the film) ; the film is sometimes sunless, sometimes very spotted, but short of a cgi restoration this is probably as wonderful as it gets.

The Philip Glass soundtrack, which is optional, tends to divide viewers. The Lugosi DRACULA had virtually nothing in the method of soundtrack; the “Spanish” DRACULA old music to a greater degree, but even so that degree is comparative. The Glass catch is often quite captivating, but it is also as often intrusive as it is effective. Some feel it adds quite a bit to the film; others procure it distracts. Whatever one’s reaction to the film, either English or Spanish language, or with or without the Glass collect, this is a great DVD package, and fans of classic fear will derive it an almost inexhaustible pleasure. I cannot recommend it too strongly.

I admit the first time I saw this film, my skin crawled fair a miniature bit at the accents and stereotypes — Heaven is a perpetual fish fry!

But as the film progressed and the simple, ravishing vision plays out, it’s like the stories triumphs over all the 1930s Hollywood prejudice and takes us places few other films ever seem to reach.

Just to explain the yarn … it’s supposed to be how one of the dusky children, hearing the myth of Genesis for the first time, envisions it by placing all the Biblical characters in his or her environment. It’s charming and comical and honest a pretty simple entertainment with some improbable authentic gospel music … and then …

… and then Rex Ingram as “Da Lawd” visits earth to pick up out why men sustain praying to him when he’s long ago forsaken them. He meets a soldier named Hezdrel (Rex Ingram in another role) who explains how mankind as discoved mercy … then he marches off to his death, leaving God standing there, frightened by the lesson he has unprejudiced learned!

Suddenly, it’s not laughable or sweet any more but a much statement of faith … a faith that overcomes the worst of Hollywood’s prejudices and always leaves me gasping for breath as the scene in Heaven dissolves benefit to the Sunday School class and into one of the greatest single shots in movie history.

This is a titanic and considerable movie … and like so many other posters here, I’m begging for somebody to bring it out in DVD … preferably somebody like Criterion, which would do it factual.

This awe-inspiring film has been one of my favorites since childhood, when I watched it on a Sunday morning that I was too sick to go to church (or did the Devil regain in me? ) . Plump of humor and precious moments, amazing performances, and simply incredible theatre-like staging; I’ve grown to savor this movie more and more as I net older. The all-black cast rises far above the stereotypes which so easily could have ruined the film, interestingly by seeming to apply the distinguished lessons of humility and loving obedience which De Lawd expects.

The memorable scenes are too numerous to picture, ranging from the noteworthy (De Lawd, in plantation-owner finery, strolling through heaven, chanting “Has you been redeemed? Has you been baptized? …”) to the hilarious (the angel Gabriel, putting his lips to the horn, as he anticipates De Lawd’s wrath) .

Season four is the 1991-92 season that won Laurie Metcalf her first of three consecutive EMMY Awards as Best Supporting Comedic Actress. (Roseanne would finally catch her only Best Actress-Comedy EMMY for season five; and John Goodman–shockingly–never won an EMMY for playing Dan Connor altho he was nominated seven years in a row!) .

FINALLY, for this fourth season spot, there are at last commentaries by Roseanne! And even better, they are video-commentaries, which means you actually peruse Roseanne live on the right-side of your TV conceal as she watches and comments on the episode playing on the (larger) left side of your cover. The two episodes she comments on are TRICK ME UP TRICK ME DOWN (that season’s Halloween episode, which also marked the final appearance of George Clooney as Booker–and Roseanne has some sizable, intriguing comments on the fact that her series’s writers didn’t indulge in Clooney the diagram she did) and THANKSGIVING ‘91 (with guests Shelley WInters and Estelle Parsons) . These are astonishing commentaries, very droll, very unprejudiced and Roseanne’s comments are aided by some pop-up blurbs at the bottom of the veil that sometimes corrects or elaborates on something Roseanne has said. (For instance, Roseanne says Shelley Winters wasnt too cheerful about playing Parson’s mother because she was only a few years older than Parsons. The pop-up track tells us that WInters was seven years older than Parsons.)

The second extra is a brief on-camera interview with Roseanne about the display. It’s entertaining and fun and filled with clips. The final extra is called “A Grown-Up Sit Down Interview with “an Adult” Becky and D.J. It’s merely a condensed and reedited compilation of the interview Michael Fishman did for the season two position and the interview Lecky Goranson did for the season three area. It offers no original material and is unbiased a rehash of previously seen footage.

Even idea Roseanne ends each commentary track with the same statement of “Am I done? “, I hope that the next sets have even more video commentaries. This is a terrific DVD location.

Seems like Amazon didn’t assume the time to list the episode titles for us, so I’ll remove a crack at it. “BOO!”, being the most dimented and memorable episode for me & my sister, wins the title region for my “review”. p.s. Most TV shows can be found on imdb.com, though beware of occasional glitches in the descriptions (mainly die-hard fans survey these errors and are able to characterize them for correction) .

“Inherit the Wind” – Becky “lays down the law” in front of the whole student council, including the boy she has a date with that night, Jimmy Meltrigger.

“Diminutive Sister” – Jackie defends her decision to enroll in the police academy.

“Guilt by Disassociation” – Roseanne gets a job “psych” when the job offer she understanding she had is rapidly revoked because she lacks computer skills.

“Somebody Stole My Gal” – While doing some office work at Dan’s construction position, Roseanne impresses the architect who turns out to be a needy, yet apt loner latching onto the Conner family.

“House of Grown-Ups” – Jackie prepares for 6 weeks at the police academy while Becky takes Darlene – or shall I say Vivienne – to her first co-ed party.

“Five of a Kind” – Arnie plants a kiss on Roseanne leaving her to wonder what it could mean.

“BOO!” – DJ welcomes trick-or-treaters to the Conner’s “tunnel of scare”, while Dan and Roseanne try to “out trick” each other.

“Sweet Dreams” – Roseanne’s first attempt at a fantasy episode as she tries to earn a few minutes of peace in the tub.

“We Bag Together” – Another dysfunctional Thanksgiving on Delaware St. as Roseanne tries to secure a draw to recount her parents she prefers they pause at a motel.

“Brain-Dead Poets Society” – Darlene’s insightful poem brings Roseanne and Jackie to tears at the middle school’s talent night.

“Lobocop” – Roseanne’s 2nd job as a Lobo bartender takes a toll on her lovelife until Dan comes in & picks her up.

“No Talking” – Classic teen daughter/mom rivalry with a microscopic “trustworthy cop (Dan), abominable cop (Roseanne) mixed in.

“Chicken Hearts” – Roseanne finds herself cow-towing to her teenaged boss (the “microscopic maggot”) in order to accept weekends off.

“Born to be Wild” – Dan & Roseanne’s mature buddy Ziggy rides into town, bringing nostalgia, revealing Dan’s nickname, and restoring Dan’s hog to its worn glory.

“Hair” – Roseanne takes a job in a hair salon beefy of characters including the owner of the factory most of the town once worked in.

“I’m Hungry” – Tempted by Mallomars and Bucky Burger commercials, Roseanne diets to pick up her pants to fit better.

“All of Me” – Jackie is crazy about her recent man, but Roseanne is afraid that she’s losing herself in the deal.

“To Issue the Truth” – Dan convinces Jackie to gain up with Roseanne but on her method over to apologize, she gets a proposition from Gary.

“Fender Bender” – Roseanne’s feelings are afflict as well as her neck when Mrs. Wellman rear-ends her and doesn’t apologize until she is threatened by the Conner’s lawsuit.

“April Fool’s Day” – The procrastinating “Wagners” must go down to the IRS office on April 15th to ask a put a question to about their return.

“Fathers and Daughters” – To present they characterize to both children equally, Roseanne bonds with Darlene while Dan takes Becky to the mall.

“Blissful Birthday” – Missing her creative side, Roseanne gets a spacious gift from Dan – the basement is converted into her fill private writing studio.

My son has been crazy for fireworks since he was two! He is now seven, and he can name all the different types of fireworks, many of the company names in the firework industry and with succor from dad–and many safety precautions–he can also do his enjoy shameful fireworks.

I bought this video for my firework-crazy son because the VHS version had a vast firework reveal pictured on the mask and the description mentioned fireworks several times. The VHS description did not set aside the secondary title — *The Sizzling Chronicle of Explosions* — which would have provided a clearer description of exclaim.

I gave this a 4-star rating because although it is–as it claims–history focused, fireworks are but a little share of the overall memoir. It appears that the DVD version has a different report on the cover–a more appropriate picture–since the video is about explosions in general not fireworks specifically.

So, if you want to know how it all came about then you’ll devour this video, but if you want to seek firework displays or learn how to perform your acquire, then try another video. In fact, NOVA has another video entitled Fireworks that we’re going to try next.

I didn’t perceive any description for this disk when writing this so here is a rapidly summary: The Colorado river is dwindling due to our ever expanding need for recent water. Conservationist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and botanist Wade Davis (along with their daughters) and canyon guide Shana Watahomigie occupy an expedition to illustrate the need for changing the diagram the Colorado is exploited.

I haven’t seen that many IMAX films on the Huge Canyon so I won’t be able to give any exact comparisons, but I will say this one does at least swear on what I was looking for: Nice wide footage of the Spacious Canyon. Although most of the footage is personal shots of the expedition you do collect some really first-rate aerial footage as well as other impressive nature shots.

The contrast between this particular documentary and what I would normally question from a Big Canyon is that it has a conservation message tied to it. Instead of focusing solely on nature’s wonder there is a lot of footage on the effects of drought and siphoning of the Colorado River. So if you are looking for a full-on nature safari this isn’t exactly it. At the same time it’s not like you aren’t getting any absolutely incredible footage either. Honest not as great as I was expecting.

Like many IMAX films coming to Blu-Ray the AVC transfer is breathtaking. Every cramped detail will stand out. The audio is equally immersive with the DTS HD MA 5.1 track getting you wrapped up in the sounds of the canyon all over. There is also a French DTS audio track. On the minus side there are no subtitles of any kind. There are a somewhat valid list of extra features on this release, which I lisp it better than expected. Most of the extras are standard definition with the exception of one. Here is what you get:

- Music video by Wade Davis’ daughter, Tara

- Retrospective of MFF IMAX productions (in HD)

- Water saving tips and river shapely up tips (sponsored by Kholer and Tava)

Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk is a very worthwhile documentary that shows the loyal beauty of the Gargantuan Canyon… if you don’t mind the preachy parts. Of course conservationists will really savor the fact filled message as well as the recognize candy. The IMAX theater release was also in 3-D, but I haven’t heard of any releases on Blu-Ray or DVD that will rob advantage of that anytime soon.

I originally saw this movie in an IMAX Theater and was blown away by the entire production. The views, the sound, and the legend are truly astounding. This is composed honest for the BRD version. I scrutinize this disc almost daily and I can’t gather enough of it. If you like the BBC Planet Earth discs, you’ll surely treasure the Ample Canyon Adventure. The Dave Matthews Band soundtrack rocks too!

It is 2009, and the Japanese Bureau of Investigation branch in Seoul (a astronomical city in greater Japan [Korea]) is trying to ferret out a group of Korean terrorists who bear that Korea should be a separate nation. The universe in this film flows forward from an event in 1909 history that eventually positive Korea’s freedom from Japan — but what if it happened differently, as it does in this film. All history is different. Japan and the USA together won WWII. The nuclear bombs dropped on Berlin, not Japan, etc. But what if, and this is where it gets nice and Philip K. Dickian (peep Man in a High Castle), somehow, history had been changed deliberately. What if the Koreans could go attend in time and situation it true. Anyway, the action sequences are very nicely done. If I have one complaint it is that the hero is so safe at looking wistful that it is overused. Too many listless down moments of wistful gawk tearing. Special kudos to the actor who played the Japanese JBI partner of the hero. He was favorable. I and my family recommend this film to anyone who likes action and fantasy.

I rented this movie and enjoyed it enough to watch in to buying it. If you’re a sci-fi fan you’ll like it. Some say you need an in-depth view of Japanese/Korean politics to bewitch it but I don’t consider that’s the case. I thoroughly enjoyed the flick and it actually inspired me to witness up more information about the tense relationship between these 2 countries.

My 28 month outmoded discovered “Charlie & Lola” videos while visiting Grandpa and Grandma in AZ (we checked them out from the local library down there) . When we returned home, we were disappointed to not obtain “Charlie & Lola” at our library or any local stores. We initially were unbiased looking for a single DVD, but found the box dwelling. It is a broad value! Amazon had the best sign, plus our order arrived in less than 4 days (over a weekend!) . Thank you for the huge customer service and expedient value! We recommend “Charlie & Lola” to everyone–pleasant music, comical yarn lines, and cute characters. My niece and nephew (6 & 8 years worn) composed treasure to peruse them when they approach to visit.

My twin granddaughters are enchanted by Charlie & Lola. They giggle with them and hum along to the theme music. The stories relieve caring about each other, sharing, cooperating and compassion; to say nothing of creativity and fantasy play. I have to say this is the best discovery ever!

Extraordinary panoramic vistas, taken from a 2-engine plane with a camera attached to its nose, astounding geological facts, and pleasant animals, most of them modern to Australia, are what we secure in this obliging documentary of what is both the world’s smallest continent, and its largest island. Once joined to Antarctica many millions of years ago, with high mountains and lush forests, time transformed Australia into 3 million square miles of mostly arid flat land, and its creatures adapted to the different weather conditions. Unbelievable and often silly footage of kangaroos and koalas (both fragment the same ancestral marsupial possum), as well as desert creatures from ants to the giant and fearsome parenti lizard, and the “living contradiction,” the platypus, are among the many delights shown in this film.

An event that only occurs approximately twice every century, torrential rains filling the Outback’s Lake Eyre, bringing long dormant animals to life, as well as flocks of pelicans, is caught on film, and is a spectacular search for. This is a beautiful but harsh land, with a outlandish beauty that fills the soul. Australia is described as being more like another planet than another country, and this documentary has many images rarely seen.

Directed by David Flatman, written by Flatman, Meg Morrison, and poet Les Murray, it is narrated by Alex Scott, and has a fine glean by David Bridie. Made for IMAX in 2002, every aspect of “Australia, Land Beyond Time” is kindly, is a must for anyone fervent in this big country, and those of us who like to gawk foreign lands without leaving home.

I am so impressed with this movie. The production is truly extraordinary. I feel like I traveled to Australia for 1 1/2 hrs and flew over that tremendous land of natural wonders. I loved the Kangoroo and Koala scenes as well as the underwater scenes. The film succeeds in almost every aspect, including its sound effects and truly toothsome music win. As opposed to other IMAX films that employ cheap background music or music by classic rock bands, here we come by a one-of-a kind music gain performed by an orchestra that blends with the images really well. The story script provides a lot of information while keeping the viewer entertained (like the Kangoroo kickboxing scene) Also, the report quality was improbable! At times I wondered if I was watching a humdrum DVD or some sort of high definition video!!

I’d have to say I was disappointed when I first saw the first episodes of Unlimited. It was named Final Fantasy, but very miniature linked it to the wonderful video game series of the same name. The record seemed immature and generic and not interwoven with many character driven side stories; only the Final Fantasy mascots appeared (Chocobo, for one) ; and the music didn’t mediate the classical style that went with the games. So, needless to say, I didn’t bother buying anymore of the DVDs in the series.

Then the box station came out, and I admitted to myself that I was at least exciting about how this series would destroy, plus I had learned that Gonzo made Unlimited, and Gonzo has yet to fail me in any of my anime endeavors. I bought it, and I watched the first episodes again. I cringed, because suddenly I felt the same plot and even found a few more things I disliked about it. But I didn’t halt, and continued to search for, and found that, slowly, this series evolved. It became emotionally driven, with a lot of elements that made Final Fantasy tall. There were mascots galore (the stated chocobo, cactuar, moogles, summons, and Cid) . Some of the music heard can be heard in previous games (the opening song–not the title song–and the battle victory) .

Still, it wasn’t as Final Fantasy as its namesake, but I found that in watching the anime the entire intention through that that was okay. Though it isn’t a trustworthy chapter in Final Fantasy, it’s a sizable stand-alone anime nonetheless. It has mammoth animation, a exclusive style that seems both classical and cutting edge (Astroboy with CG) . The epic deepens as the two main characters search for their parents, and other fable lines utter themselves as well, such as Kaze’s memoir, the main character in charge of a noteworthy gun advantageous of summoning creatures into battle, and Lisa, a martial artist with the power to control elements. The antagonists also turn into something more than they had been in the beginning. A deeper, more unsuitable foe appears later, one that adds a sense of scare to the account that wasn’t there previously. All in all, it adds up to one decent anime. And the value itself can’t be beaten. Twenty-five episodes of anime for less than fifty-bucks.

It’s difficult, however, to recommend this anime. I’d only recommend this to Final Fantasy fans who don’t win the game too serious. If you do, you’ll be disappointed with this anime. I’d also recommend it for anyone who enjoys experimentation in their animation. If you enjoyed Kid’s Record in the Animatrix, you’ll delight in this.

When I first heard that there was a Final Fantasy series that was to be introduced as a DVD series in the US I was quite furious. Certainly, as a game series, Final Fantasy has consistenly hit high marks in both anecdote and graphics. It seemed reasonalble to request that the series, coming out at the same time as other series that have shown landmark levels of quality would be something to gaze. Alas, that is not the case.

A stout tower of light suddenly plunges into the current world, and gigantic monsters appear in record battles. The world changes subtly as a darker presence begins to occupy possession of the shadows. A pair of research scientists open an investigation, but go correct after they publish a book about a irregular underground world that seems to have appeared upright under our feet. In this DVD we prefer our first tour of wonderland, as the young children watch the mysteries and threats that surround then and obtain current companions like Lisa, who has her enjoy special variety of ‘martial arts,’ and Kaze who uses a magical gun to carry out his role as a summoner (remember FF8 and FFX) . At point to the tale stays focussed at this level, a bit more fight and adventure oriented, although I inquire that the serious sage arcs will gradually become more significant.

While the work is acceptible as standard Saturday morning cartoon fareit really lakes the flair that marks most Final Fanasty work. In fact, other than some creatures like Chocobos, it really has very small in accepted with the Final Fantasy game series. Scripting and character development are minimal, aimed at an audience that isn’t quite ready for the complex relationship building which marks the show’s namesakes. This explains many of the cramped gaps that gain the display confusing for a long time fan. If one approaches this as an independent work rather than as an heir to one of gaming’s greatest lineages, then it is an acceptable and spellbinding series.
